Joe Lynch is one of the guitarists but occasionally plays the keyboard. Joe loves bringing a clean guitar tone with rhythmic and spatial effects. He has been playing guitar for 7 years. Some of his favorite bands are: Alice in Chains, Ween, Daft Punk, and Neko Case. Outside of the band Joe enjoys producing beats and hanging out with his cats.
Sammy Ammons is a drummers drummer. He is very versatile which is great for Jackal, as we play a wide variety of genres. Sammy has been playing the drums for 18 years. He sites bands like Toto, The Strokes and System of a Down as musical influences. Outside of Jackal Sammy enjoys visiting and collecting his own aquariums.
Seth Monahan Describes his role as "laying down groovy bass lines." There really is no better description than that. Seth has been playing bass for 9 years and his favorite bands include: John Mayer, Coldplay, and Alter Bridge.
Outside of the band Seth enjoys playing video games.
Harry Lynch is the other guitarist of Jackal. He describes his role in the band as "the more square sounding guitar part". Harry has been making music for 15 years. His favorite bands include: Santana, Funkadelic, James Brown, and ZZ top. Outside of Jackal harry enjoys learning about social studies and creating his own music.
Our Sound
Jackal is a band that started in Claremore, Oklahoma with just some friends from school jamming. As four musicians whose tastes cover a wide variety of genres and styles, we provide a plethora of sounds from groovy funk and smooth jams to punk and rock. At shows, we primarily perform our original material but we usually like to throw a cover or two into the set. We enjoy doing covers of classic rock, grunge, punk, and funk songs by bands like: ZZ top, Grand Funk Railroad, The Cranberries, Green day, Funkadelic, and Tulsa legends The Gap Band.
